Prawn masala gravy - is a simple recipe, fast to make and delicious in taste, can be accompanied with zeera rice or roti. goes perfectly well with both.My kid loves prawns, so I make this very frequently. Onions - 3 medium sized (sliced)
Tomatoes - 3 medium sized (chopped)
Oil - 1/2 cup
Prawns - 1/2 kg
Green chilli - 4 (slit)
Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
Chopped Mint leaves - (handful)
Chopped Coriander leaves - (handful)
Vinegar - 1tsp
Ketchup - 2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp or to taste
Haldi (turmeric) - 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1 1/2 tsp or to taste
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Water -1/2 Cup
Wash prawns, devein and set aside.
*Heat oil in a wok , Once it is hot add the sliced onions and green chilli. Once the onion turns golden brown add the ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 mins.Now add the prawns, haldi, red chilli powder, salt .Add garam masala, and saute.
Add chopped tomatoes and fry, till it becomes tender. Once the tomatoes are tender add the vinegar and ketchup. mix well. add 1/2 cup water, let it cook
Add the coriander and mint leaves and let it simmer.
Once the oil separates, its ready. remove from heat and serve hot!
