Cheesy Egg Squares - Raw egg omelet and mozzarella cheese filled inside a a rolled out flour chapati and wrapped into a square and deep fried on low heat. The egg gets cooked while inside, and with the delicious melted cheese, these are the perfect bite, for iftaar or as an evening snack /high tea or dinner! try it , and let me know what you guys think.... Cheesy Egg Squares Serves - 5-6 Duration - 30 mins
Ingredients
Eggs - 3
Ginger garlic paste- 1/2 tsp
Onion - 1/2 chopped
green chilli - 2 slit
Coriander - 1 tbsp (chopped)
Red Chilli powder- 1 tsp
Salt- 1tsp
Oil (for frying)
Flour - 250 grams
Milk - 1/2 cup (or as required)
Oil - 1 tsp
salt- to taste
Mozzarella cheese -grated (handful)
Method -
In a bowl, add the eggs, chopped onion, salt, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, coriander leaves and green chillies, whisk it well.
In a seperate bowl, add flour, salt, milk and oil. Mix well, until it forms a dough.
Make small balls, keep aside.
Dust generous amount of flour on the working surface.
Now roll out each ball of dough, into a thin circle. (as thin as possible).
Add some of the omelet mixture(make sure to remove the green chillies), and sprinkle some cheese.
Wrap it into a square (see pics below) and seal using flour and water mixture: 1 tsp flour and 1/4 cup water)
